Flights and Cars
With wings
Hawaiian Airlines, Alaska and Southwest fly into Kona International Airport (KOA). It takes about 45 minutes to get from KOA to Waimea town.
Mokulele flies right into Waimea Airport (MUE). It takes about 10 minutes to get from MUE to Waimea.
With wheels
All major car rental companies have cars at both Hilo and Kona airports if you need to grab a car. The drive from Hilo is about 90 minutes.
